Baby Bump : Hobart Maternity Photographer

Saturday, June 25th, 2011

My latest maternity session was with gorgeous Kate and her husband Scott. Together we went for a lovely stroll along Blackmans Bay Beach, soaking in the fabulous winter light and making the most of their last few moments before their beautiful baby arrives.

Welcoming Samuel to the World : Hobart Birth Photographer

Saturday, June 18th, 2011

As most of you know, I had the absolute thrill of photographing my first birth last weekend. It was such an amazing experience. One I hope to repeat (that’s a hint for all of you pregnant ladies out there!!).

To be a part of his particular birth, was strangely therapeutic for me. Having both my children by caesarean section, due to the Drs insisting my pelvis was too small. I never even experienced one contraction. I am grateful for this day and age, that myself and my children are in fine health … and I have never once felt “what if..?” To me, I have two beautiful boys – I don’t care how they came out of me. :) I even don’t care, that I never got to see my youngest for 2 whole hours after he was born … because,  from the instant we touched, an incredible bond was made.

But I digress, to witness a birth … a natural birth … a natural home birth – was beyond amazing for me.

Beautiful Mum Ally, will always have my respect – she is such a strong fantabulicious woman! (Yes, I totally just made up a word because no other word seemed enough!)

Enjoy – and don’t forget your tissues.

I’ll finish off with my most favourite photo – I’m not sure why I love it so much. It could be because he is only a few minutes old, or that he is warm and snuggled up to his Mummy, or the fact that his so totally gorgeous face is all squishy and fresh, or that his tiny hand looks so precious resting on his Mummy’s chest … or it could be all of those reasons and more!

As They Wait : Hobart Maternity Photographer

Babies are definately in the air, I have been surrounded by them at work this month – it’s been wonderful! I just love meeting Mummas-to-be and their partners, waiting patiently for their baby to arrive. What’s even better when that happens, is also seeing how wonderful they will be as parents.

Even only meeting Kirsty and Drew for a quick hour, I can already tell how much they will dote and care for their precious bundle. So exciting.

Doesn’t Kirsty look gorgeous!

Glowing : Hobart Maternity Photographer

Saturday, June 4th, 2011

To be honest, I haven’t done that many maternity sessions – which makes me sad. I LOVE doing them. To show a woman in the most natural way, carrying and giving life to a perfect little human. In a time when a woman is positively “radiant”.  The anticipation, the wonder, the excitement and nerves bubbling to the surface.

Clare is all of the above and more.

I currently offer Maternity mini-sessions and also have Maternity-to-Newborn Collections, email me at dani@dreamandjustbelieve.com for an info pack. :)

Gorgeous Maternity

Friday, March 19th, 2010

Maternity sessions are so exciting for me. The whole waiting patiently for the most wonderful gift is just too much for me, it’s like Christmas to the power of ten.

Candice is 36 weeks pregnant, isn’t her gorgeous round baby bump just divine?
