A view of Hobart

March 19, 2010

Kerri was one of the first to win one of my promo offers a few weeks ago, I’m so happy to be able to give discounts and special deals every now and then. Especially for people like Kerri, who is just so so lovely. You can just tell from her bright warm smile that she has a huge heart.

We met at the cenotaph in Hobart, I’d never had a session there before but what a great location. A different view everywhere you turned and gorgeous lush grass to boot!.

It was great to meet you Kerri, here’s your sneak peek.

An afternoon at the Beach

December 11, 2009

So on Wednesday I met up with some relatives for some photos. I can’t work out if they are 3rd cousins or not? Maybe it’s 4th? Their Grandma is my Dad’s cousin anyway…

I haven’t seen them since they were well under 10 years old, I got a shock when they showed up for the session - now they are all grown up and just gorgeous people, inside and out.

Their lovely Grandma organised the photos and I hope that everyone likes them. Here’s a sneak peek from the session.

Finally here to blog the next half of the session. It rained (read: poured) all morning, the day was not looking promising. Then the clouds lifted just one hour before our session and miraculously we all stayed dry throughout the whole session!! Yay!

We met in Richmond this time and here are some results.

Oh and thanks so much for the lollies Megan, when I got back to my car I think I ate about 10 in 2 minutes (ok possible slight exaggeration) … a great pick me up after our trek around Richmond!

Let It Rain – Part One

November 28, 2009

Today I met Megan and her 3 brothers, for a different kind of family shoot. No parents! The idea is, to get photos for presents for the parents. Really lovely isn’t it? And that’s exactly what this family was … really lovely. It’s so nice to see siblings with a strong bond like these guys.

We met at Salamanca and it soooo would’ve been the perfect shoot … if it wasn’t for the rain. And when I say rain, I mean *unforgiving*!  Not only was I worried about my 3rd baby (my camera if anyone was wondering) everyone was drenched, which with not much convincing, we decided wouldn’t quite make the appealing photos they were hoping for. So that is why this is “Part One”, the next half of the session is held off until tomorrow.

But without any more ramble from me, here are a few shots we managed to get in before the weather decided to “let it rain”!

Self Portrait

August 27, 2009

So last month I set aside a task to take some photos for myself to use in my website. Well who knew that it would be so hard? Yep, I found it quite daunting having to stare at photos of myself trying to decide if any are process worthy or should every photo of my ugly mug just be put in the recycle bin forever?

So after some delibaration and me getting over the nerves … here is the photo I chose to put in my “about me” section of the website.

King/Palmer Family

June 28, 2009

I photographed Daniel, a sweet 6 month old a few months ago now – and I was so excited to get the request for a family session. So there he was with his Mummy and Daddy and gorgeous big sister.

Here he is in all seriousness, with those stunning eyes, smooshy cheeks and precious widdle lips.

And here is his sister, Jess, in all seriousness - wishing that stupid lady with the camera would just leave her alone!  :OP  No, me being serious now, she was a complete photogenic rockstar !

Hope you like them Cara, I’ll have more sneak peek photos of the family grace my blog in the next couple of days.

It's Autumn Time

April 27, 2009

And I wanted to get some autumn shots. So I asked a friend and she willingly obliged, and off we set!

I’m really happy with how these have turned out.

This first photo: what a crack up. We were just about to leave and I saw this cute little rainbow in the distance. The props? In the foreground her trampoline … in my car, my brand new big rainbow umbrella. You can see where this idea just fell in to place here right?
