You may remember my recent post showing a storyboard I wanted to hang in my bathroom. Well I received it yesterday! LURRRVE it!

I got it printed as a 16X16 and mounted on 20mm foamcore. This is a product I sell. And it looks awesome does it not?? :O)

Some of my own.

October 22, 2009

So over two months ago, I went to the park with a friend and it has taken me THIS long to get time to process the photos. Seems as though my own photos aren’t the top priority as client photos are these days – but they have been done and here they are.

Firstly, these are my friends gorgeous kids. Seriously aren’t they just gorgeous? Yes!

One Year Old Caleb

October 17, 2009

Marianne is a Senior Consultant for Creative Memories, which is a scrapbooking company that sell the utmost beautiful albums and accessories. A couple of years ago I was also a consultant for Creative Memories, no surprise there … with my love for photography and all. If you live in Tassie and are looking for someone to help you with albums and archiving those precious moments contact her webpage here.

Marianne has 5 adorable children and has captured each of their first birthday milestones with a photoshoot. This year was Calebs turn and I am completely honoured that she asked me to do the job!

Here is a sneaky peeky at the gorgeous one year old Caleb – who had his serious face on, but because he is such a sweet little man still managed to give us some lovely smiles. And check out those squishable cheeks. *love*

Oooh I so love this “serious face”. Even without a smile he just looks so sweet, like he’s deep in thought and daydreaming of what to do now he is one!IMG_0918 B&W blog

Another serious one, but still so so cute in that hat!! And yes, that is an upside down table … it kept him happy and occupied for quite some time!IMG_1128 blog

My baby’s cake smash!

October 15, 2009

Oh my sweet little baby has just turned 2! Wow. Two whole years, it seems a long time – but it sure feels like I’ve known him longer. Gorgeous little thing.

So I planned to give him a cake smash session … and it did not go as I expected. He was just sooo proper, he wouldn’t get into it at all, picking at it like the lovely little prince he is. And then, when he realised his hands were dirty and he couldn’t wipe them clean on the floor, he decided he’d had enough!

I made him a GIANT cupcake with a groovy number 2 candle!

Look at the look on his face in the next one – it’s like he’s saying “I didn’t do it!” And this time, he really didn’t do it!  It might look like he got stuck into that cake and really did make a mess of it, but no such luck. This cake “smash” was courtesy of Daddy. But just pretend I didn’t tell you that and look at it and see how much fun and amazement the child has with cake smashes!!

Here you go cake, have your candle back! How tidy of him, putting things back to where they were when we started!!

And one more, as an outtake/pullback. He cried because I wouldn’t let him wipe his hands on me – how mean am I, not only am I not cleaning my child when he has horrible cake and cream all over him, I am also taking a photo of it! IMG_0870 blog

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing my cousin Adrian and his wife Seleste.  Adrian is a lover of all plant life and they happened to get married here, so the botanical gardens was the perfect spot for their photos. Saturday also marked the 8th anniversary of the day he proposed, so there were many special  little things that made this just a really really nice day.

Here are a few sneak peeks for you – enjoy!

It’s bath-time boys!

October 6, 2009

What’s that saying? About boys … “A boy is noise with dirt on it”. I have two boys and I know how true that saying is, sugar wrapped in dirt!

I’ve wanted to do this for ages and finally the weather picked up enough for it to stay muddy but still be warm so they could have singlets on. I wanted the boys to get all filthy while I took photos. Then those photos were to be put up in the bathroom. How appropriate!

So the dirtiness was planned. Am I crazy? Must be. Because this shot had to be taken quickly so I could then jump up and run run run. Grotty little thing.

And the final result – to be blown up as a 20X20 mounted in the bathroom to commemorate the fun that is mud, but most importantly how great it is to get clean again! Boys … do you understand? C. L. E. A. N is good! Okay? Ok … carry on.
