January 29, 2010

Well 4 weeks down and 48 to go … oh boy, when I read it like that it seems quite daunting … at least I’m having fun!

This week was a crack up. I mean really, when all else fails and you are struggling to find joy in the small things – have a laugh at yourself and those sweet little beings we call children …

Here’s week three of my photo a day challenge.

So another week down. Half way through the month already .. and only 11 and a half months to go!! ha!

Project 365

January 11, 2010

So the challenge is for every single day of the year I am to take at least one photo. A photo a day. OMG what have I committed to? Now you may think this is easy, but it isn’t.

I wanted this project to have some kind of meaning for me, not just random photos to make up the 365. So for me, it’s a diary of sorts, like a photo journal. This way you also get to have a sneak peek at my life aswell as the photosessions I do this year.

So here it is, WEEK ONE!

Hearts of Hope – part 2

January 9, 2010

As promised more photos from my session with the Giving Is Awesome winners. I LOVED LOVED LOVED this session so much. How gorgeous is the light on the beach and this gorgeous family suits it so well!

I am so happy with the photos and to give them my top collection, which includes 15 desk prints, a session album, 16X24 enlargement, 16X16 storyboard and all the digital negatives on a disk! Phew! What a prize.

I can’t tell you enough, how much this family deserved to win. Apart from their heartbreaking struggles with their childrens health, this family are just so generous, considerate and lovely.

Don’t forget to head down to the 2009 photo of the year competition to cast your vote. Two posts down, or click here. Your vote goes towards the photo winning the title and the family a super enlargement and $50 towards their next session. You also have the chance to win a free photo session and $50 print credit by just commenting on the blog post after you vote. Simple! (You must reside in Hobart or surrounds to enter).

Hearts of Hope – Part One

January 6, 2010

I got to meet my Giving Is Awesome winner Jodie Willis and her family today. We had a lovely afternoon along the river at Kingston Beach and then at Taroona.

This beautiful and inspiring family are just gorgeous and so welcoming. Among the nicest people I have ever met. You don’t find these types of people very often, they are gems and deserve every good thing that comes their way. To find out exactly why, Click here to read their story.

Here’s one photo of their family. More photos to come in the next few days, so stay tuned.

And in black and white because I couldn’t decide which I liked better!!
