Double the Celebration

February 27, 2010

Today’s photosession had many meanings for me. It commemorated an exact year since I started port folio building.

My very first photo session was with Harrison, at only a few days old. Here is a photo from that session: sweet yawn.

So in a rather poetic circle, how awesome was it that now a whole year later my very last port folio building session is with the same little man. Who is having a celebration of his own, of course, his 1st Birthday. And what does that mean in my world? Cake Smash time.

So here I am on the Eve’s Eve of launching my fully fledged business. Watch the changes take place from March 1st and follow my fanpage on facebook for awesome promotions in the first week.

This week has flown by, just like every other week! … The most special day for this week was my eldest son’s 5th birthday. Oh I could’ve cried all day. Happy tears. Just to make it clear!

My fave photo for the week is the latest one, right down the bottom on Day 56 … sooo much love swelling in my heart for that one! Enjoy.

I think it has been over a decade since I’d seen Sarah. The first time I met her was on our first day of High School. She was standing infront of me in line to our class. Sooo boring, just waiting, waiting, behind 60 odd students. *sigh* You know it, when you get bored your eyes wander around trying to find something interesting to look at. Well that is how Sarah stood out to me. My eyes wandered to the ground and admist the feet adourned with regular school shoes, there she was wearing Doc Martins. Something so small, but so significant, I knew she was different … you know, in a really good way. For the whole of year 7 we were inseperable.

Only a few weeks into year 8 I had to change Schools, and inseperable we were no more. I then moved to Victoria and a few years later our contact had dwindled away to the odd letter around Christmas time. But just a few years ago (few is my favourite word for this paragraph!), the mighty facebook comes along and brings me back to amost everyone I have ever been friends with in my entire life! Oh gosh how I love thee facebook.

I was so excited when through facebook, Sarah asked me to take some photos of her and her sweet little family.

If you haven’t already check out my facebook fanpage and join to stay updated with all the latest goss.

It was really nice to see you again after all those years Sarah, thankyou so much for letting me capture your family.

And without further soppy dribble from me, here is her sneak peek. Isn’t her almost 7 month old daughter, Phoebe, simply adorable?

Umm, what week are we up to?

Too many that’s what I’m thinking.

Here’s the latest 7 reasons for me to smile …

Sweet Cheeks

February 16, 2010

Yesterday I met gorgeous little Josh and his lovely parents. This little sweetheart has the most squishable and kissable cheeks, and whoa what a smile! Simply adorable.

Week 6

February 12, 2010

Seven more photos from another awesome week in our household! Enjoy the little snippet into the life I call my own!

And here they are as promised, the rest of the sneak peek from the Griffiths family’s session from last Sunday.

Such fun photos, such great colour, love it!

Little Harrison, absolutely loving the sand and beach …

And the twins, enjoying their tooth wobbling surprise …

The Griffiths Family

February 8, 2010

So I had the greatest time yesterday photographing Toni and Mark Griffiths and their three boys.

Before the shoot I found a lolly shop in my local area and came across the most awesome huge lollipops. I bought two, one for each of their 5 year old twins. And they definately deserved those lollipops – I was so impressed with how well behaved and easy to photograph they were.

Although after a big bite of the lollipop, one of the poor boys started complaining of a sore tooth. Hope you’ll always remember the photoshoot when he got his first wobbly tooth guys! Oh yeah and also when you got some lovely photos to keep aswell!

OK, here’s one photo I have processed so far. Will post a proper sneak peek in the next few days.

Week 5 – seriously?

February 5, 2010

Well as usual the week has flown by. You know I thought a photo a day would help slow down and seperate the days in my mind … but they all still mould together, like yesterday was only New Years.
