A morning stroll by the river? Nothing sounds nicer does it?

I met Kristy and her lovely family down by the river in Montrose Bay on a warm early morning. OK, when I say early I mean like 9am. And yes, by any regular working day that is a sleep in but this is the earliest I have ever had a session … and I have to say I looooved it.

The light in the early morning is so soft and because we are coming to the end of daylight savings, 9am gave light that 8am usually does.

Here’s a sneak peek …

Meet the Haas family, let’s count them all… 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 … 7. Seven is my favourite number.

Last year I had the pleasure of photographing the youngest member of the family for his 1st birthday. So when Marianne asked me to do a family session for her, I knew I was in for a big challenge.

From the get-go I knew I couldn’t stress myself to get a good photo of every single child smiling and looking at the same time, I mean I’m not exactly superwoman am I??

So we set out to just have some fun, and we ended up having lots of fun. AAAAAND we even managed to get a few of them all looking AND smiling. You can call me superwoman now! ;O)

Twelfth Week

March 29, 2010

This week brings us swimming, bumps, milo, books and a new hair-do!

My latest family session takes place in Richmond. I just love this location for photos, small strolls and stops here and there for photos, just glorious. Even when it rained!

Check out this photogenic little family …

Gorgeous little Seth turned 2 on the weekend, no better way to celebrate than to smash up a cake. What a funny little man he was with his cake, there wasn’t a whole lot of eating … but there was a ton of smashing.

Seth’s mum, Aleisha, is a photographer also – check out Pheonixation Photographics to see her work. So it’s always the biggest compliment when another photographer is excited to choose me to do some photography for them.

Enjoy your sneak peek Aleisha.

Gorgeous Maternity

March 19, 2010

Maternity sessions are so exciting for me. The whole waiting patiently for the most wonderful gift is just too much for me, it’s like Christmas to the power of ten.

Candice is 36 weeks pregnant, isn’t her gorgeous round baby bump just divine?

Week Eleven

That time of week again.

A view of Hobart

March 19, 2010

Kerri was one of the first to win one of my promo offers a few weeks ago, I’m so happy to be able to give discounts and special deals every now and then. Especially for people like Kerri, who is just so so lovely. You can just tell from her bright warm smile that she has a huge heart.

We met at the cenotaph in Hobart, I’d never had a session there before but what a great location. A different view everywhere you turned and gorgeous lush grass to boot!.

It was great to meet you Kerri, here’s your sneak peek.

The Swain Wedding

March 16, 2010

OK, so before I let loose on this blog post I just want to make it clear that I am not accepting weddings at this time. My experience above my love for it needs to be a priority before I delve into the depths that is Wedding Photography.

This wedding was a dip my toes in the water kind of deal. And I have to admit, I reeeeaaaally enjoyed it.

Nick and Teresa got married on a windy beach on a clear and sunny day. It couldn’t have gone more smoothly. The bride was fashionably late (as is their duty), the love was evident, fun was had! What more could you want?

Thank you both for making this scary step so much easier for me and thankyou for allowing me to share in your most special day. Here is a sneaky peeky of some of my favourites for you, enjoy. xx

Special credit goes to Peta from Peta Nikel Photography for being my 2nd shooter and backup, you rock lovely one.
