The Coleman’s : Hobart Family Photographer

Monday, March 4th, 2013

I’m on a mission to get up to date with all my blogging and sharing all the wonderful sessions I have had recently – lucky for all of you!!

We are starting way back at the middle of last year, when lovely Jess was pregnant and wanted some shots of her sweet little family of 3 before they turned into a family of 4. I was lucky enough to be asked back to take some more photos once their bubba was born.

GORGEOUSNESS!!!

Aurelia’s First Birthday : Hobart Family Photographer

Thursday, September 6th, 2012

I met Aurelia on her very first birthday. What a lovely present, to have some family photos taken to be treasured forever – well I hope so!! She was such a little darling, dressed in totally gorgeous winter clothes and just being so sweet and cute. I just LOOOOVED this session.

Halle : Hobart Child Photographer

Thursday, July 19th, 2012

A few weeks ago I met sweet little Halle for some “not yet walking” photos. One of the most precious times in a bubba’s life – when their gorgeous personality starts to shine.

Boys : Hobart Family Photographer

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

So remember that AMAZING birth I got to photograph in June this year? If you don’t HERE’S THE LINK.

Well I got to see him again 4 months on (and he’s just as gorgeous as the day he was born) and photograph him along with his 2 super cute big brothers!

So much fun, laughter and love in this family of boys.

Maddi vs The Cake : Hobart Child Photographer

Friday, September 23rd, 2011

I’m finding it hard to believe that my niece is now 1. Over the year I have photographed her 5 times. As a newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months …

… And now 12 months.

Having a bit of a dance.

Then we bought out the cake!!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY Maddison, can’t wait to watch you grow over the next 12 months.

Little Poser : Hobart Child Photographer

Friday, September 2nd, 2011

Oh how I love magnolia’s. I love when they bloom, like they are hinting that Spring is on it’s way. The day I photographed this awesome family, was still very much a Winter day though. Crisp wind lashing at our faces. And sweet little Olivia, what a crack up she is,  her personality as fresh as that cool Winter air.

Are all those metaphors too corny for you. How about this? I totally enjoyed our photo session, I simply sat back and watched Olivia’s gorgeous nature unfold before me. Isn’t she a spark? I’m such a lucky girl to have been able to shoot this wonderful family unit.

Olivia’s Mum, Danielle – what a super awesome name right? – is an expert on all things crafty and is super lovely aswell, click here to follow her fantastic blog.

Maddi Moo at 9 months : Hobart Baby Photographer

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

When you split the year into 3 month intervals, you kind of realise just how fast it flies. It seems like I only just did my niece’s 6 month photo session, yet here she is 9 months old. I’ll only have to blink and she will be 1!!

Isn’t she sublime though? With her kissable rosy cheeks, chewed teething finger, pebbles hairstyle and those big wide blue eyes! I just love this age too … personality plus without the running away on me!

And I managed to wrangle my boys in for a couple of snapshots of the cousins.

Veronika WILL walk : Hobart Cake Smash Photographer

Monday, May 16th, 2011

If you are ever going to read any blog post of mine, this is the one to take right in:

Taken from certain posts of Kylee’s blog “Veronika Anne“:

When Kylee was around 36 weeks pregnant with Veronika she was told her unborn child had had a massive bleed in her brain. Later they were told that it should of killed her, as she basically had the worse grade stroke a person can have … and she had it before she was born!  At birth Veronika was also diagnosed with Downs Syndrome and a congenital heart defect (with a hole in the heart – which is now shrinking!). Just before she had her 1st Birthday she was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy(CP). Veronika also has hemiplegia, which affects her movement down the left side of her body.

These next 2 paragraphs are a direct quote from post Kylee made on her blog in February.

When your baby is 1 week old, and she has her 1st MRI and the results aren’t what you thought you would ever hear, let alone something you never want to hear……”Veronika has an injury to her brain from the bleed she had before she was born, and we believe that it will affect her movement down the left side of her body, and she will most likely never walk”….

I guess at that point in you make a decision, one of two possible options I guess. You either think ‘oh well, if that’s how its gonna be, why bother,’ OR ‘Yes she will walk, and we will come back in when she does and say I TOLD YOU SO’.

Kind of grabs your heart doesn’t it? I know personally, with having my own children, that any kind of minor problem (like our 3 year old’s recent fractured leg) sends a parent into defense mode. And that’s just something tiny, imagine having a child that needs sooo much more. What wouldn’t we do for our kids? Imagine feeling so overwhelmed that what you need to do for your child is impossible? Well, Kylee felt that – but in this crazy wonderful world we live in, she has realised that we don’t have to deal with things alone.

She has gathered her strength and will power, focussed on her hopes and dreams for her precious daughter and with the help of some amazing people, is putting together two amazing Gala’s to make it so “Veronika Will Walk” !! And that’s soooo exciting I can barely contain myself. Their basic goal: “We are raising money to help Veronika defy doctors and learn to walk, She needs a hydro therapy spa at home to do this.”

For this incredible endeavour to succeed, they need YOUR help. Go to that link up there (the one that says “Veronika Will Walk” ;) ) and if you live in Hobart area purchase tickets for one or both of the galas! If you don’t live in Hobart area, fear not, there is a donate button on the facebook page.

If you happen to go to the gala, say “Hi” if you spot me – I’ll be the one with the camera permanently attached, documenting the events as a part of my Fears into Fun Project. Also, for all you bargain hunters, I have 2 “Digital Collections” up for grabs at the adult gala auction, both worth $500 each!! See if you can go in and get them at a much cheaper rate and also help Veronika in the process - WIN WIN! :)

And now without further ado, I’d like to wish Veronika a very Happy 3rd Birthday … and yes, she has many a health problem (some more of which aren’t even mentioned in this post) but none of those things define her. All you have to do is just look into her sparkling eyes, her heart right there on her sleeve, and feel the warmth of her gorgeous melt your heart smile! What a divine princess and I imagine the sunshine of her family’s life.

Happy Cake Smash Day : Hobart Cake Smash Photographer

Monday, April 25th, 2011

Little Miss Molly has just turned 1! So it’s time for some cake!

I know I shouldn’t say this, but she has to be the MOST photogenic kid around! I mean seriously – when she is not even smiling she looks completely and utterly gorgeous. It’s those eyes – they are so big and wide and innocently cheeky. So cute.

Happy Birthday Molly.

Half a Year old : Hobart Baby Photographer

Saturday, March 26th, 2011

I can’t believe my gorgeous niece is 6 months already!! We’ve had 4 photosessions so far - two in her newborn stage HERE and HERE; one at 3 months and one now.

It’s so awesome to have this opportunity to capture her growth throughout her first year of life – not only physically, but developmentally and in personality too.

Here’s our latest mini-session … filled with cheeky smiles, stretching, eye rubs and giggles.

From exercising one minute to getting tired the next … totally adorable!
