Meet the sweet faces of this full of personality big sister and her absolutely adorable newborn sister. (P.S. This newborn is almost one! That’s how far behind in blogging I am – imagine how many awesome sessions I still have yet to share! TONS!)
It’s so damn exciting when wedding clients come to me for newborn photos. It’s like a natural progression of wonderful life moments. Oh I’m so sentimental. You can see Trish and Phil’s wedding HERE.
How gorgeous and proud is Sophie of her little sister??
One of my most favourite sessions of 2012 has to be this one. These kiddos lovely Mum is one of my awesome repeat clients – we had a newborn session for little miss gorgeous C (look just how big she is now!!) and now for their new little addition . It is ALWAYS so so wonderful to come back and see people again and again, watching kidlets grow never fails to blow me away.
As most of you know, I had the absolute thrill of photographing my first birth last weekend. It was such an amazing experience. One I hope to repeat (that’s a hint for all of you pregnant ladies out there!!).
To be a part of his particular birth, was strangely therapeutic for me. Having both my children by caesarean section, due to the Drs insisting my pelvis was too small. I never even experienced one contraction. I am grateful for this day and age, that myself and my children are in fine health … and I have never once felt “what if..?” To me, I have two beautiful boys – I don’t care how they came out of me. I even don’t care, that I never got to see my youngest for 2 whole hours after he was born … because, from the instant we touched, an incredible bond was made.
But I digress, to witness a birth … a natural birth … a natural home birth – was beyond amazing for me.
Beautiful Mum Ally, will always have my respect – she is such a strong fantabulicious woman! (Yes, I totally just made up a word because no other word seemed enough!)
Enjoy – and don’t forget your tissues.
I’ll finish off with my most favourite photo – I’m not sure why I love it so much. It could be because he is only a few minutes old, or that he is warm and snuggled up to his Mummy, or the fact that his so totally gorgeous face is all squishy and fresh, or that his tiny hand looks so precious resting on his Mummy’s chest … or it could be all of those reasons and more!
